Mario

Hey, I knew this before, but upon reading an article about Donkey Kong, and finding this paragraph buried within, I decided to copy and paste this bit of Video Game trivia here.

"But Mario's design had to take more than just aesthetics into account. Every aspect of the character came from limitations of the technology -- or rather, from Miyamoto's [Mario's creator and general godfather of Video Games] desire to exceed those limitations. His red cap was there because hair was difficult to animate. He had a moustache because there were too few pixels to show a mouth. He wore overalls with suspenders because it let his swinging arms stand out from his body."

Neat eh?

It's raining outdoors today too. It gives me this burning desire to create something.
